Hello everybody. Just a quick post about Magic the Gathering. This weekend we received Magic the Gathering starter deck packs and held a welcome event which was a big success. Each box contained two thirty card decks which could be played on their own against your other opponents who also got thirty card decks. These are what we used for the entire event.
I am not a card player and I usually don’t like collectible card games because all the other players with their huge collections and experience will beat you every time. This was different. We had the usual cast of characters and lots of new people all playing the same decks. It was a blast. Each game lasted about 15 minutes and the experienced players helped me to learn the game. With all the decks being starter decks the games were balanced too. I cannot recommend this system enough. I am even going to try and make a deck and see how things go. We have some of the start up decks still available if you want to come down and give it a try. This was a great way to jump start Magic prior to the release of Dominaria.
